Laadic-MR Tablet | Diclofenac Chlorzoxazone and Paracetamol Tablets

Diclofenac Chlorzoxazone and Paracetamol Tablets i.e. Laadic-MR tablet is a pain reliever muscle relaxant tablet. It is a well-known pain management medicine that is used to relieve muscle pain, joint pain, back pain, and lower back pain due to kidney diseases.

Diclofenac Potassium+Paracetamol+Chlorzoxazone is a combination of three molecules that are used in medication-based pain management.

Composition of Laadic-MR Tablet

The composition of this fixed dose combination is given below:

Each film-coated tablet contains:

  • Diclofenac Sodium IP 50 mg, 
  • Paracetamol IP 325 mg, 
  • Chlorzoxazone USP 250 mg
  • Excipients……..q.s.
  • Color: Tartrazine 

Diclofenac Potassium:

Diclofenac Potassium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to treat pain, and inflammation in different conditions. It is a non-selective NSAID. It blocks the production of both COX1 and COX2. These two enzymes are responsible for inflammation and pain in the body.

Diclofenac Potassium usually comes in oral dose forms tablets and capsules. The usual dose of Diclofenac Potassium is 50 mg thrice a day. However, the right dose for an individual should be decided by the doctor. 

Paracetamol: 

Paracetamol is a potent antipyretic and analgesic drug. It is used to relieve pain and fever. It is also known as Acetaminophen. It is also covered in the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug category. However, the mechanism of action of Paracetamol is different from Diclofenac but both block the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are a hormone chemical that is responsible for inflammation and pain.

Paracetamol is available in all dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, Liquid Orals, Oral drops, and Injections. The daily dose of paracetamol depends on the conditions of the patient, age, weight, and type of symptoms also impact the dose. Let your doctor suggest the right dose of paracetamol, and follow his/her instructions.

Chlorzoxazone:

Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant drug that is usually available in tablet form. It is used for acute muscle pain and bone pain. It is a Schedule-H Drug that is a prescription medicine. It is used only after the prescription of a Registered Medical Practitioner. It is a skeletal muscle relaxant. It works on the central nervous system (CNS) to relax muscles. 

Chlorzoxazone was first time synthesized in 1956 by J.R. Geigy AG, a Swiss pharmaceutical company. It was approved for medical use in the United States in 1958.

Synergetic effects of Paracetamol Diclofenac and Chlorzoxazone: 

The combination of Chlorzoxazone, Paracetamol, and Diclofenac Potassium is used to relieve muscle and bone pain. In this tablet, Chlorzoxazone’s role is to relax the muscle by working on the centers in the brain and spinal cord, it relieves muscle stiffness, and spasms that improve muscle movement. 

Diclofenac Potassium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), it works by blocking the production of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) that causes pain and inflammation at the spot of injury. 

Paracetamol is a mild analgesic and strong antipyretic, it enhances the capabilities of diclofenac in pain relief. This combination is a well-proven formula for pain relief. It is further advised, to ask your doctor before taking this medication.

Paracetamol, Chlorzoxazone, and Diclofenac (Laadic-MR tablet) Tablets are muscle relaxant that blocks pain sensations between the nerves and the brain. Some significant medical uses of this combinations are as follows;

Dosage and Administration:

This combination usually comes with Paracetamol 325 mg, Diclofenac 50 mg, and Chlorzoxazone 250 mg in each tablet, doctor recommends one tablet two times a day, in emergency high pain they allow one tablet three times a day.

Always follow your physician’s recommendations for dosage and period of course of this medication. 

B. Administration Guidelines:

Swallow the tablet with the help of water or juice. Do not chew or crush the tablet because it is very bitter in taste, and it can cause vomiting.

C. Considerations for Special Populations:

It is a strong pain relief formula. It is always suggested that follow the instructions of a physician before taking this combination medicine. This medication is not recommended for children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. Ask your doctor for further information.

A. Common Side Effects of Paracetamol, Diclofenac and Chlorzoxazone:

The most common side effects of Paracetamol, Diclofenac, and Chlorzoxazone tablets include:

  • Dizziness
  • Drowsiness

B. Precautions and Warnings

Chlorzoxazone, Paracetamol, and Diclofenac Potassium tablets (Laadic-MR tablet) are stronger formulas, a three-drug combination. It is not a common medicine that can taken freely from OTC and consumed, it is a very sensitive tablet that can cause many side effects on the skin, allergic reactions, and damage to the developing fetus in pregnant women. So it is important to consult your doctor before taking it.

Some precautions that should be kept in mind while using this combination;

  • Consult your doctor before starting the course of Chlorzoxazone, Paracetamol, and Diclofenac Potassium tablets.
  • Children and pregnant women should not take it from OTC.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose of the Laadic-MR tablet.
  • Be aware of drug interaction with other medicines if you are taking this combination.
  • Liver patients always consult with their doctor while taking this medicine.
  • Kidney patients do not take the maximum recommended dose of the tablet.

  • Anticonvulsants (seizure medications):
  • Barbiturates
  • Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid):
  • Corticosteroids
  • Lithium
  • Anesthetics
  • Antidepressants
  • Antihistamines
