Usually, Diclofenac Potassium and Paracetamol are available in single salt tablet form in Western countries, India these two molecules are available in fixed-dose combination that is approved by CDSCO. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) while Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic medicine. Both drugs work on pain, and fever effectively. Diclofenac Potassium and Paracetamol in combination are available in India at doses of 50 mg+325 mg respectively.

Mechanism of Action
Diclofenac Potassium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins that are messengers of the body to the brain about injury and inflammation.
As the production of prostaglandins stops, this helps the body to reduce the symptoms of pain, swelling, and inflammation.
Diclofenac is a more effective NSAID drug than Ibuprofen and Paracetamol, however, it can cause stomach ulcers and kidney problems.

Since the process is different therefore the side effects on kidneys are less by Paracetamol than diclofenac.

The single dose of Paracetamol depends on the age, weight, and conditions of individuals. The Adult dose starts from 500mg in a single salt tablet and goes up to 650 mg, and 1000 mg (extended-release form).
However, the strength of Paracetamol in combination remains 325mg.
In IV form, the adult’s dose usually comes in 1000mg per 100 ml.
