Sildenafil citrate tablets IP 100 mg: PCD franchise and third-party manufacturing

Laafon Galaxy Pharmaceuticals offers sildenafil citrate tablets IP 100 mg on two routes: a sildenafil PCD franchise for the L-Force-100 brand, and third-party manufacturing of the same tablet under your brand name. Production for both routes takes place at a partner third-party WHO-GMP certified unit; Laafon Galaxy is the marketer and coordinates supply. Sildenafil citrate is a Schedule H drug[1] with no NPPA ceiling price.[2][3] Indian advertising law sharply limits how it may be promoted (see the compliance section below).[4]

Plan for a crowded market. In October 2026, 1mg listed 182 substitutes for a single sildenafil 50 mg brand.[6] The molecule will not set you apart. Pack, price, availability and service to retailers will, so cost a sildenafil launch on that basis.

Compliance limits for selling sildenafil in India

Advertising: the hard limit

Section 3(b) of the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 bans any advertisement suggesting that a drug maintains or improves capacity for sexual pleasure. Its Schedule also names “sexual impotence”. On a first conviction the penalty is up to six months’ imprisonment, a fine, or both; on a later conviction, up to one year.[4] The Act exempts material sent confidentially to registered medical practitioners (section 14).[4]

Claims on packs and literature

Under Rule 106 and Schedule J of the Drugs Rules, 1945, a drug may not claim to cure “sexual impotence, premature ejaculation and spermatorrhoea”.[1] The UCPMP 2024 bars the word “safe” without qualification and any “no side effects” claim, and requires claims to rest on current evidence.[5] Keep visual aids within the approved prescribing information.

Schedule H distribution

Sildenafil citrate is entry 453 of Schedule H.[1] Supply licensed retailers, hospitals and practitioners only. A retailer may sell to a patient only against a registered medical practitioner’s prescription.

Do not

  • Run public social-media posts, ads or WhatsApp broadcasts promoting sildenafil for sexual performance.
  • Use “safe”, “no side effects”, “guaranteed results” or performance language on packs, visual aids or price lists.
  • Sell to unlicensed resellers or online sellers who do not take a prescription.

Distributor readiness check

Tick what you already have in place. Nothing you tick is stored or sent anywhere.

0 of 7 in place

Start with the drug licence. Stock can be supplied only to a licensed buyer, so this comes first.

Sildenafil third-party manufacturing: what we need from you

From you

  • Brand name, with a trademark search done
  • Strength and pack style. L-Force-100 is 100 mg; ask before planning other strengths, because they depend on the partner unit’s product permission
  • Order quantity and delivery schedule
  • Approved artwork with the marketer’s name and address

What to ask for on every batch

  • The manufacturer’s name and licence number on the label
  • A certificate of analysis against the Indian Pharmacopoeia standard the label claims
  • Batch number, manufacturing and expiry dates on strip and carton
  • The Schedule H caution on the strip
