Neurozil Plus, Methylcobalamin Pyridoxine hydrochloride & Niacinamide injection is a three-drug combination that is used to re-establish various nutrients in the body and treat nutritional deficiencies. It is also used to treat peripheral neuropathies including diabetic neuropathy in adult patients.

This injection has been approved by the FDA for use in the United States as MV-adult in 2004. There are also several clinical trials and studies that have been conducted on this injection.

Neurozil Plus methylcobalamin injection contains Methylcobalamin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, and Nicotinamide. Neurozil Plus is helpful for the brain and nerves, and the production of red blood cells.

Methylcobalamin Pyridoxine hydrochloride & Niacinamide injection Uses

Neurozil Plus Methylcobalamin Injections have a big list of uses but are usually used to treat some nutritional diseases and other diseases in the clinic, Alzheimer’s disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. Methylcobalamin can cross the blood-brain barrier without biotransformation.

Methylcobalamin stimulates serotonin creation which is a neurotransmitter that is responsible for mood enhancement and protects the brain from damage against excitotoxins. This is also used in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy, Diabetic neuropathy, and in preliminary treatment for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Methylcobalamin contains metal–alkyl bonds, this is a rare example of a compound that contains metal–alkyl bonds.

Pyridoxine Hydrochloride: Since the Neurozil Plus Injection contains Pyridoxine Hcl 100mg/2ml this injection also helps in preventing pyridoxine deficiency, sideroblastic anemia in patients, pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy, certain metabolic disorders, problems generated from isoniazid use, and certain types of Mushroom poisoning. Pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy disease is a type of rare epilepsy that does not improve with typical antiseizure medications.

NICOTINAMINDE: Neurozil Plus Methylcobalamin Injection contains Nicotinamide 100mg which is a form of Vitamin B3 very essential for the body. Niacinamide is used to treat pellagra (Niacin deficiency) in humans.

METHYLCOBALAMIN DRUG INTERACTIONS:

Methylcobalamin has not been found to interact with many drugs, There are only molecules Arsenic Trioxide and Chloramphenicol which have some allergic reactions with Methylcobalamin.

Methylcobalamin Dosage for Neuropathy:

The dosage of methylcobalamin in Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy is 2500mcg 3 times a week or 1500mcg per day in very limited cases.

Methylcobalamin Injection 2500 mcg:

Methylcobalamin is the Injection form that usually comes in 1000 mcg, 1500 mcg, and 2500 mcg. Neurozil Forte Injection contains 2500mcg of Methylcobalamin, used in the treatment of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.
