Ferrous Ascorbate is an Iron supplement that has been used for the last 90 years. It was developed in 1930 with Ascorbic Acid. By combining Iron with Ascorbic Acid the molecule Ferrous Ascorbate was developed. It enhances the absorption of Iron.
Zinc and folic acid are other ingredients in this tablet. However, the FDC of this combination is not allowed in Western countries. In India, this FDC is allowed since the 20th century.
