NIMESULIDE & PARACETAMOL TABLETS USES
Nimesulide is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with pain medication and fever-reducing properties. Its FDA-approved indications are the treatment of acute pain, the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, and primary dysmenorrhoea in adolescents and adults above 12 years old.
Paracetamol
Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) is a pain reliever and a fever reducer. The exact mechanism of action of paracetamol is not known. Paracetamol is used to treat many conditions such as headaches, muscle aches, arthritis, backache, toothaches, colds, and fevers. This combination is much safer than the Ibuprofen AND Paracetamol combination used for the same symptoms, Used in Migraine pain in early and medium pain. Widely used for severe fever conditions when alone Paracetamol does not work.
Nimesulide
Nimesulide is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It is a C-nitro compound a sulfonamide and one aromatic ether. It is related to the nitrobenzene group.
It is recommended only for 15 days in the treatment. The maximum dose for a day is 200 mg.
It is unpopular for liver toxicity in some cases. Despite its risk of hepatotoxicity the European Medicines Agency(EMA) in 2012 evaluation found is favorable in benefit/risk profile with other NSAIDs.
SIDE EFFECTS OF NIMESULIDE AND PARACETAMOL
Nimesulide and Paracetamol tablets are beneficial in many diseases but they have some side effects if they are taken without a prescription and in overdose. The use of Nimesulide is prohibited in children below 12 years of age. Nimesulide may lead to some serious implications for children. Long-term use of Nimesulide may lead to a low rate of transient serum enzyme elevations in patients. Paracetamol is injurious to the liver if taken more than the prescribed dose. Paracetamol is used but is not advised if liver problems persist. The recommended dose in 24 hours should not be exceeded because it can lead to liver failure or even death in rare cases.

Who should not use Nimesulide+Paracetamol Tablets;
Nimesulide is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) that is used for pain relief usually for headache and back pain. It is not an OTC pain reliever, it is a prescription medicine that should not be used without the advice of a doctor. It is not a first-line treatment for pain. However, Paracetamol is more safer than Nimesulide but in combination with each other it becomes more strong and dangerous for compromised organs.
- Children under 12 years old: Nimesulide is not recommended for use in children under 12 years old because of the risk of serious liver damage.
- Pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding: Nimesulide+ Paracetamol can cause harm to a developing baby and should not be used by pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding.
- People with a history of liver or kidney disease: Nimesulide+ Paracetamol can worsen liver or kidney damage and should not be used by people with a history of these conditions.
- People with a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding: Nimesulide+ Paracetamol can increase the risk of stomach ulcers or bleeding and should not be used by people with a history of these conditions.
- People with severe heart failure: Nimesulide+ Paracetamol can worsen heart failure and should not be used by people with severe heart failure.
- People with allergies to NSAIDs: Nimesulide+ Paracetamol is an NSAID and can cause allergic reactions in people who are allergic to other NSAIDs.
