Lobular Plus | Itraconazole Ofloxacin Ornidazole Clobetasol propionate Cream

What is the uses of itraconazole Ofloxacin Ornidazole clobetasol propionate cream?

Itraconazole Ofloxacin Ornidazole & Clobetasol propionate cream i.e. Lobular-Plus is a combination ointment that is used to treat several skin infections, including bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections. The cream contains four active ingredients:

  • Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing.
  • Ornidazole is an antibiotic that kills a variety of microorganisms, including bacteria, parasites, and fungi.
  • Itraconazole is an antifungal medication that kills fungi by destroying their cell membranes.
  • Clobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and itching.

Multi-molecule combination creams are becoming increasingly important in dermatology because they can provide more effective treatment for skin infections than single-ingredient creams. Therefore, different active ingredients in a cream work together to heal the infection from different perspectives. For example, Ofloxacin and Ornidazole can kill bacteria, fungi, and parasites, which makes them a more effective treatment for a wider range of skin infections, while, Itraconazole and Clobetasol play an anchor role to reduce inflammation and protecting the skin.

Ornidazole: A Potent Antiprotozoal Agent:

Ornidazole is effective against Trichomonas vaginals, Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia, and Helicobacter pylori. The role of Ornidazole in an external preparation is different from its oral use. It plays a vital role in a cream with other ingredients like Ofloxacin, Itraconazole, and Clobetasol Propionate.

Itraconazole: An Effective Antifungal Medication:

Itraconazole is an antifungal medicine that is used to treat several types of fungal infections, skin infections, nail infections, and mucous membranes. It is also available in oral and topical forms. Itraconazole inhibits the growth of fungi. It blocks the production of ergosterol, a component of the fungal cell membrane. It helps to make cell membranes weak and leaky which becomes the ultimate reason for the eradication of fungus.

Itraconazole ointment is typically used to treat:

  • Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot)
  • Tinea cruris (jock itch)
  • Tinea corporis (ringworm)
  • Candidiasis (yeast infection)
  • Pityriasis versicolor (a fungal infection that causes discolored patches on the skin)

Clobetasol Propionate: A Powerful Topical Corticosteroid:
